Tres Hermanos food

This is my favorite mom and pop Mexican restraunt in Napa. I don't see how people can eat stuff like Taco Bell or whatever when you have places like this around. Their tacos are the absolute best (~$1.75 each). Full of flavor, no bland crap at all. Chicken, carne asada, spicy pork (pastor) and carnitas (my 2 favorite here), and so on. The tacos are usually topped off with some chopped onions, cilantro, and a spicy salsa. Their burritos are good, the enchiladas platters are good, etc. If I had the money to take them nationally, I'd be a gazillionaire.

Tres Hermanos tacos

There is a real genuine, filling taste to the food. I've never been able to put my finger on it, but when I eat at fast-food or the fast-casual chains, I have a bit of an aftertaste later. Or it just sits in your stomach like a brick. Overly processed foods? Overly fried? Overly huge portions? Even better than average Mexican-style chain-store restaurants like Rubio's or Baja Fresh have me feeling the same way. Kind of like that feeling you get after you eat a TV dinner or something else that you'd buy frozen and then just heat up with a few additional ingredients (like Hamburger Helper).

But I never get this feeling when I cook at home with decent ingredients, and I don't get this feeling when I eat at a place like Tres Hermanos either. If you're in downtown Napa, and you want a quick, but tasty, bite to eat without paying too much, you really should stop here and have some tacos.
